Every Dollar Makes a Difference

At Fight the Stigma, we believe that mental health awareness saves lives—and your support makes that mission possible. When you give, you’re helping us educate communities, advocate for change, and provide vital resources that break down the barriers created by stigma.

Our Goals

Know what your donations are going towards!   Here is a breakdown of just some of the goals we have for Fight the Stigma, Inc.!

Objective 1: Normalize Mental Health Conversations

Launching the “Tell Your Story” campaign: develop a traveling display wall & life size banners, with real stories.  Along with this, we want to create a video series for social media featuring testimonials, and host community events where people can share their journeys publicly or anonymously.

Build local partnerships: partner with schools, libraries, and community centers to display the “Tell Your Story” materials.  We also want to collaborate with local media to feature monthly stories and interviews.

Objective 2: Improve Access to Care

Create a financial aid program: provide mini-grants for therapy co-pays, psychiatric visits, or prescriptions.  We also want to prioritize applications from marginalized or underserved populations.

Advocate for provider reform: develop an educational program for medical providers on stigma, mental illness, and patient-centered communication.  We also want to launch a pilot “FTS Certified” provider designation to recognize inclusive, stigma-free clinics.

Objective 3: Promote Holistic Healing

Launch a Combat Sports Wellness Initiative: offer sponsorships for youth and adults to access boxing, MMA, or fitness programs.  We also want to partner with gyms or create FTS-hosted classes that integrate mental health support.

Develop plans for the first FTS gym: we want to design a facility model that includes a full training gym, therapy spaces, and wellness workshops.  We also want to begin fundraising, grant writing, and securing land or lease agreements for a pilot location in Hutchinson.

Objective 4: Expand Organizational Reach

Pilot FTS Mobile Mental Health: Partner with local providers to test a mobile counseling or medication management unit.  We also want to identify funding through local healthcare coalitions, United Way, and state grants.

Build state and national awareness: attend conferences and host workshops to promote the FTS model.  We also want to launch a toolkit to help other communities start FTS chapters.
